Abbe Miller, PhD Candidate, MS, ATR-BC, LPC
is a recognized expert in the field of transformational Art Therapy using her original El Duende Process Painting method. She has practiced and taught for over 38 years, presented over 70 workshops and delivered multiple papers around the world.
Abbe is also an artist and regularly shows her artwork in a variety of galleries. She creates mixed-media art, preferring to allow creative impulse to guide her aesthetic. She uses her original layering process of re-working imagery as it emerges.
Abbe is an Associate Professor and former Director of the Graduate Art Therapy Program at Albertus Magnus College, in New Haven, CT, USA. She maintains a private art therapy practice, supervising graduate students, and offers weekend intensives in her proprietary El Duende Process Painting method. She has authored book chapters and journal articles.
